Okay. Curiousity finally got the better of me. So, water ski-ing, eh?
You won't be getting any RSS kicks from my browser at the moment. (Although I should transfer them all from my old bookmarks file...)

You ARE extra susceptible because you're so colourblind. You have less cone cells to begin with, so you run out of rhodopsin faster.

That would explain why it generally only happens to me after skiing or skating in the winter-time... I don't think I've ever experienced it during the summer months.
So - any truth to eating carrots helping this? :\
