I have quite a few different HP servers here, though mine are all running HP-UX so I'm not all that familiar with them as a basis for other systems (I'm assuming you'll want to run freeBSD on them).
That said, they are generally very reliable and their support for those cases where something goes wrong has been better than most of my other suppliers (though far from remotely as good as I demand it should be).

But those are probably PA-Risc machines then, no?
My experience with those 13 years ago was bleak... I don't know if it was the hardware or the OS, but those things were terrible for stability - that that was sitting idle on my desk most of the time.
