Season Passes Mon, Dec 9. 2013
(updated 2013-12-09)
Evidently I spoke too soon re: Memories of Skiing in 2013.
Sean and I picked up season's passes for Edelweiss Valley today, so I can go anytime I want now - and that's exactly what we did today

Pre-season skiing isn't exactly prime conditions, and Edeweiss only has 2ish runs open, but all with all the skating I did this summer, I definitely started off in reasonably good shape today. I certainly didn't think I was going to hit 90... nor did I feel like I was moving all that quick, but there you go.
I think it's time for new boots though... and snowpants... and apparently my helmet is overdue for replacement.
Alpine Replay and Ski Tracks both have been updated, but I'm curious if there're any suggestions for other ski-tracking apps - leave a note in the comments!

Sean gets his photo ID pass... it's better than mine.

Confidence - I has it.

And the next day...

Can we go skiing now?
Gabe snapped this photo of me on top of Mont Sainte Marie - after we climbed all the way up. Sure got me thinkin' about buying some seasonal passes...
Memories of Skiing 2013 - A Recap Mon, May 27. 2013

The goal was to ski as much as possible...
First time skiing since 2009... Josée and I hit Edelweiss and the snow-mist was awesome.
Since everyone is wondering about #RepairedWrist, I did had some wrist pain when planting my poles, but after talking with my surgeon, he suggested taping it. (And we declared we'd rather never see each other again.) I got some KT Tape and that really helped - a lot. In fact, after a couple hours of skiing with it, I found my left wrist feeling better than the right!
Mont Ste. Marie held midnight ski - no lights, just the chairlift and a full-moon! (And a pile of glowsticks!)

I worked on my impressive ski-bum beard; it would freeze up with ice and keep my face warm.
We tried RunKeeper, Alpine Replay and Ski Tracks tracking apps on our smartphones...

I think this was the first year I skied with so many people too; Josée, Gabe, Matt, Ursula, Chris, Ben, and Sean has a GoPro:

Even got my dad out!

Matt and I got stuck on the chairlift twice at Camp Fortune due to recurring power outages.
Edelweiss had a smokin' deal: After March 1st, their 'Spring Ski' pass was $50 and good for skiing at any time. So basically two outings and it paid for itself. I got a a lot of value out of that

I was hoping to get one final outing in early April, but Camp Fortune's lift-motor seized.
HEAD FOR THE HILLS Thu, Mar 13. 2008
Hey Kids, I'm off to Jay Peak this evening till Sunday night. I will have limited connectivity & Internet while I'm there, so I likely won't be responding to anything other than urgent & emergency requests. Calling my cells will probably be the best/only way to get ahold of me, and Chris will be the lucky pager carrier. Don't bug him too much!
