Have you considered joining me for Nuit Blanche? Specifically the Toronto event on September 29th.
(Ottawa has it's inaugural Nuit Blanche the week before BTW.)

I've already booked a double-occupancy (two double beds) room for Friday & Saturday nights at the Fairmont Royal York hotel right across from Union Station with a sweetheart deal - and to add to that, Via Rail has a 50%-off seat-sale right now... but only until Friday.

It would be really nice to have a friend come along with me, and also split the hotel room. I promise I only ask that you carry my tripod for a few minutes at a stretch!

I blame being red/green colour-blind for taking 3 days for find this entry to the subway at Franklin & Fulton. I've been using the entry on the wrong side of the street, riding the filthy, stinking elevator up across the pedestrian bridge, then down 5 flights of stairs to the downtown-bound platform.

I could see where it connected underground, but since I was in the fare-paid zone, I couldn't exit (read: too cheap) to look at where it egresses - so I spent 20 minutes searching Google Streetview to find it... which is less time than I wasted walking around in the rain yesterday, getting wet instead of finding it - despite having walked past it 3 times.

August 1st-4th - NEW FRIGGIN' YORK
August 5th - Amtrak #69 Adirondack to Montréal
August 6th - Via Rail to Ottawa

Also, I hate flying.

August 7th-9th - Working in Ottawa, no more vacation

August 10th-12th - Madoc Ontario for Chris & Danielle's Wedding
August 12th-16th - Toronto for Server North & mWare work

August 18th-19th - Cottage or something with my out-of-town sister, her BF, and my niece! (she's 5 now)

August 20rd-23rdish - Montreal for Server North work
